The Vein Clinic is a privately owned specialist medical clinic with a unique focus on treating veins. We invest in the most effective and up to date technologies and also invest heavily in education. The fees we charge reflect the level of expertise and service we offer. We do not aim to be the cheapest nor the most expensive provider of these services.
Full payment is required on the day of treatment or consultation.
For your convenience we accept eftpos, Visa and MasterCard. Electronic funds transfers in advance will also be accepted as long payment is received prior to your appointment/treatment.
If you cancel your appointment with less than 24hrs notice, a charge for the full consultation fee may be payable. Please note that this fee will not attract a Medicare rebate.
Consultations and scans as part of your assessment, do attract a Medicare rebate. Many procedures performed at the Vein Clinic may be eligible for some Medicare rebate.
Purely cosmetic treatments will generally not attract a Medicare rebate. Medicare does not cover the cost of consumables required for your treatment. Regulations regarding the processing of Medicare claims will differ according to your personal circumstances.
The Vein Clinic will provide you with an itemised quote for your treatment, however we cannot guarantee the rebate you will be entitled to from Medicare.
In the case of larger treatments such as Laser Vein Ablation you may obtain an additional rebate from Medicare via the “Safety Net”. It is advisable for you to check with Medicare you are registered for Safety Net benefits and how close you are to the threshold as this will influence your overall out of pocket costs.
Private Health Insurance
Private health insurance will in many cases contribute towards the cost of compression stockings required after treatment. The amount claimable through your health fund is dependent on your level of insurance cover.
Currently, private health funds in WA will only pay towards in-hospital treatments. As we are a private outpatient clinic with our treatments performed in-house on a “walk-in, walk-out” basis in our custom treatment room, private health fund rebates do not apply towards treatment costs.
